Principal's Message

Mrs. MillerDear Parents and Guardians,

I would like to welcome all new and returning families to Fairfield Middle School, home of the Lions! At FMS, we are excited to offer a wonderful school experience to help each student reach their fullest potential. It is our goal to provide a safe and conducive learning environment that guides each student to be responsible members of their learning community and future community members of Leesburg. For many students, middle school is a time of change and growth academically, physically, socially, and emotionally. Our dedicated staff recognizes the unique needs of the students and are prepared to guide them through the educational process that will allow each student to grow and be productive members of global society.

At FMS, we are excited to offer students a well-rounded educational experience. Beginning this school year, Mathematics and Language Arts courses are blocked for approximately 82 minutes of class time. Technology opportunities are a priority and we have increased our focus on providing additional technology experiences.  Our students are also provided an intervention/enrichment period to provide additional academic supports.

Each grade level will be provided with opportunities to extend their learning outside the walls of Fairfield. The 8th grade students visit Laurel Oaks, attend Math and Science Day at Kings Island, and tour the Statehouse.  Seventh grade students participate in Math/Science learning at the Great American Ballpark—home of the Cincinnati Reds.

Our schools’ positive expectations are:

P - Practice Respect
A - Act Responsibly
W - Work Together
S - Stay Safe

Lion Pride: Striving for Excellence

Respectfully,

Deanne Miller, Principal
